Black and white sweet shot

bw swing

It’s not often that I convert a shot to black and white. I prefer color myself. But there are some pictures that just look better in black and white. I think this picture is one example. Here’s the original.

original photo swing

Canon 40d, 50mm lens, f/2.0, iso 100.

I thought she looked so cute, almost posed, when she flopped up on that old swing and put her hands behind her head. But the picture, in color, didn’t come out as cute as I thought it would be. I originally changed it to black and white because I hated the look of the old green swing. But once I’d made the change, I realized it was what the photo wanted to be from the beginning. Don’t you agree?

How cute! I love to experiment with colors using Picnik on photos taken with my easy to use digital camera. :) I personally think they ALL look GREAT and she's an adorable doll !!! :) :) :)

Yes! I love this photo and it definitely needs to be in black and white. It is so strange how photos do that sometimes. And now that you mention it you don't do a lot of black and white. I didn't realize that before.

Wowzers, she is a cutie! I prefer color most times, too, but I agree- some things look better B&W.

HOW am I supposed to behave well when you put up photos up this cute? Also, in an attempt to combine comments, I think she was framed and clearly had nothing to do with your dunked phone.
