Finding fall

outside

A touch of coolness in the air, a breeze and dry, brown leaves covering the ground makes it feel fallish.

It makes us want to be outside now that the 100 degree stretch of days has broken. Everything that was old is new again.

We go on a nature hunt and find weeds scattering seeds, a snake skin shed and beautiful bugs.

And we know it’s all good.

It’s one of those days when I say Phillipians 4:8 over and over again in my head: true, honest, pure, lovely. Today I need to think on those things. It’s why it’s written on my wall.

They end the day with a little tree climbing. And I end it watching them.

And counting my blessings.

Your bug pictures are fantastic. The yellow is so bright!

We have no good tree climbing trees around here. They are all too tall with the lowest branches far above the roofline. Is there a treehouse in your future?

oh my daughter better not see that you said that. she would go crazy over a
treehouse but my husband is a non builder.

Uuugghh, fall colors, crunchy leaves, tree climbing, cool weather….those are the things we’re missing this fall. In this ‘city’ of ours there are no trees in our yard that we can climb. Still need to find that park. The kids were ALWAYS outdoors climbing the trees when we were in NY…it was one of the great things about being there. Granted, we have other great things here in FL, but I am really missing the falls there. Enjoy the cooler weather, and I think the pics are great!
