Saturday confessions 5

This post features photos from Instagram so those of you who follow me probably have already seen them.

1. I forgot my BFF’s birthday. Yes, I’m that kind of friend. I don’t answer the phone, I complain when they make cupcakes that aren’t chocolate and I always make them do the driving. Need a poor excuse for a friend? I’m available.

2. I haven’t seen one bit of the royal wedding.

3. I often neglect to switch the clothes from the washer to the dryer for over 24 hours and then feel the need to wash them again.

{swamp people: we’re related.}

4. I’m reading Seth Godin’s The Purple Cow and, even though it’s not a book that gives you specific ideas, it somehow creates a reaction in your brain that inspires ideas. They may not work (that’s my fear entering into it), but I’ve already had 3 ideas and I only started reading it an hour ago.

5. I had $20 worth of late fees at the library today. Oh the shame.

6. Adobe Bridge is quitting on me a lot and asking me to clear my cache repeatedly. On MY New MAC! of all the nerve. The mac was supposed to solve all my problems, run smoothly and never give me a headache. This is giving me a headache. Can anyone tell me why it is happening? Please, I need answers.

I am going to a baby shower today and watched the Royal Wedding Highlights on BBC while I was getting ready. It was refreshing to hear the name of Jesus Christ in a wedding on TV, the accents were cool, and I am so glad that Kate didn’t trip on her dress. And WHOA, Prince William or Duke or whatever his title has a massive bald spot on the top of his head! Who knew?

I feel sassy with new sunglasses too. I bet I would feel sassier if they were white with colored stripes.

Oh, Home Depot. My 3 year old and I spent the morning there yesterday. Do you go to the kid’s workshops?

no, home depot is over an hour away from us. we were just there one day.

I’m so with you on number 3 about not switching the laundry around… but my hubby recently bought me a new washer and dryer, which almost makes laundry fun. At the very least, it makes things much faster. And if he happens to take a long phone call while the whites or towels are laying on the bed, waiting to be folded, it’s almost a sure thing that he’ll do it without realizing it while he’s on phone. Friends have offered to call with “counseling issues” on laundry day to help me out, but I’ve never taken them up on it.

No royal wedding here, either, although I did finally watch the spoof video of the wedding party dancing down the aisle. Probably more interesting, anyway!

And the only thing that saves me from huge library fees is putting the due dates in my electronic reminder and being able to renew online. But they still creep on on me at times, especially when I don’t know that “new releases” have only a 7 day checkout.

    I feel better now.

Every time you mention the library in a post, I feel personally responsible for anything that goes wrong. Sorry about the fines, but thanks for paying them, I guess.

lol! i should hold you personally responsible for my inability to remember
    to renew online!
(even when the library texts me when they are due). sigh.

I haven’t watched any of the royal wedding either but not because i don’t want to. I often have to rewash clothes. I always wonder if other people have a laundry stink problem or if it is just me.

I think I do #3 at least a couple times each week! UGH!!!!

I totally ‘get’ numbers 3 and 5 – they happen here on a frequent basis!! It was actually this afternoon that I finally found “The Baby Bird” – a reader that my 5 year old borrowed from the library 9 weeks ago!! I’m not looking forward to the late fees on that one!

We missed the royal wedding too but hope to watch it when we get home.

I’m bad about birthdays too unless they are in my immediate family otherwise…I neglect them. Oh the guilt.

$20 in fines? Oh my! How much does your library charge per day? I do like being able to renew online–that’s saved my bacon lots of times.

Sorry y’all had such a scary week with the storms and tornado warnings. Glad you and yours are all fine–the bathtub pics are cute though.

I’ve had 3, 4, and 5 happen. I understand. I know it is nuts to rewash. Sometimes, I’ll just put more softener in the rinse cycle.

Hope you have a great week.
