Rainy Wednesday

tree

It rained all day today. I didn’t mind much. I put on my ipod book and started cleaning out the laundry room. I cleaned every inch of it. I even retrieved all the lost items from behind the washer and dryer. Now it feels so nice to be in there doing laundry. Too bad the rest of my house fell apart while I was doing it.

While the kids were eating lunch today, our scaredy cat dog, Mr. Darcy, started barking frantically in the front yard. I looked out to see that one of our huge, old oak trees had just fallen over. It has always leaned, but we were sad to see it go. Our property is filled with some very old, very beautiful oak trees and I love every one of them.

Prints

I got a bunch of prints in the mail today from January and February. I’m trying to stay on top of things this year and order from my print folder every few months. Next step, put them in an album. I like to do that while I’m watching TV.

Speaking of TV, Don Draper is back! Sunday night is the long awaited season premier of Mad Men. I’ll be watching that instead of going to the premier of The Hunger Games. I loved the books and I will eventually see the movie, I’m just not a bandwagon kind of person and I don’t like crowds. I prefer to watch movies in my own home, alone and with a meal.

don is coming to see me Sunday night!!!!!

Which are you more excited about? Mad Men or Hunger Games?

I always worry about our oak trees falling over when we get so much rain. Our yard would be so bare without them.

Definitely excited about The Hunger games. Have tickets for the midnight showing Thursday night/Friday morning. I’m worried about the crowd – I don’t really like crowds either.

We have three giant pine trees about 12 feet away from our front door and every time the wind blows hard I can’t help but obsess about them. Surely they have been standing this long, right?

I would tell myself that I was being irrational too if I had not already said the same thing about one that used to stand outside where I used to work the night shift; I was not there the night that it fell but it did actually fall! Makes me feel like the crazy aunt on A Series of Unfortunate Events who is afraid of everything.

Glad no one was hurt and way to go being so on top of your prints. Impressive!

My WORD! That is one big tree to be falling over. always sad to see a beautiful big tree like that fall over……
    Your prints are awesome!!!

We lost a huge oak tree (so sad) when Hurricane Ike came through INDIANA!!!!  It was so sad.  But, we were so happy it fell away from the house.  It could have been devastating!!

I’m so behind on my print orders……so far behind I will not tell anyone how far behind.  But, that is one of my goals this year – to get prints made and get them in albums.  I too like to put them in albums while watching TV :)

Sorry – I’m most excited about “The Hunger Games”!!!  I have my ticket for tomorrow night (have to work tomorrow so I can’t go to the midnight showing – and even as much as I’m excited about it, I don’t think I could stay awake on a work night to watch it – or thoroughly enjoy as much as I want to!!!  So excited to finally see it!!!!!!!

I have to say Hunger Games, although we won’t be going opening night.  I’m ok with waiting.  And i love me a meal with a movie, too.  I’ve been wanting to start watching Mad Men but we haven’t yet.  Maybe we’ll start with season one this weekend. That oak is beautiful, up or down.

do your printing a little at a time, but start with the recent ones and go backwards. i think you’ll feel more accomplishment.
