Talking outloud

Yesterday Ruthanne came over and we practiced our slide show for the Shoot Shop that is this Saturday!!! Cue the nerves. When I agreed to do this with her I didn’t actually think about all the talking out loud in public I’d be doing.

In front of people. Making sense. Using words. Terrifying.

Thank goodness Ruthanne is very organized. She tells me what to do and I do it. I like it that way.

I’ve read that it’s good to get outside your comfort zone every once in a while. I feel like I’m doing that a lot lately. Starting my own business, going on a Ladies’ Retreat, flying to another state for a blog conference (in October).

I’ve even let my son start baseball. I go to practices. I will soon be going to games. I might be expected to cheer him on. Out loud. In public.

I think I’d much rather hide at home clipping my toenails.

Or watching her clip her toenails.

Hey…this has nothing at all to do with your post but I’ve been meaning to ask you what you think about this season of Mad Men (so far)?!?

I feel your pain.  I love the clipping toenail photos.  I am not fond of talking out loud in public either.  But you will be fine.

Oh Melissa!!! When I was reading this I had a flashback to our childhood. It reminded me how you would sit with a needle and thread and “sew” your toes!!!! Hahaha….. . I hadn’t thought of that in years!

I like home too, and feel rather pushed from the nest lately as well.

I have strange toe-touching issues so I am not certain that that is what I would rather be doing, but I certainly do understand the sentiment.

PS. I too get to go to a certain conference in October (YEEEE!) and it was not until I pushed the ‘finalize’ button for airline tickets that I really realized just how far from Oregon that is! It was likely better that I did comprehend this beforehand.

I am so bummed I’m not going to be there to hug you both ( I know how much you love hugging!) but you will be great.  Love to you both and miss you :)
