The third bathroom

It started out as a kitten bath and turned into a little sister bath. She was all for it. Didn’t want it to end. I decided it can be the new third bathroom that we’ve always needed.

We’re wrapping up our 2 weeks of summer vacation and it will be back to school for us next week.

My ankle is improving. It’s swelling less often and only aches after a long walk with the dogs or if I’ve been on my feet a lot during the day. And, no, Ruthanne, I have not gone to the doctor. Most often I find that doctors give me the same advice I would give myself: rest, Ibuprofen, ice.

I like to save time and diagnose myself.

I’m searching for a good summer read aloud right now. I don’t have a single idea about it.

What’s on your reading list this summer?

  • Suzanne Jackson

Glad the ankle is improving and not keeping you from the family fun. Water is always a good entertainer, isn’t it!

I’m reading a collection of Father Brown (GK Chesterton)short stories right now — not sure how I’ve missed these up to now. And our family is beginning Trusting God (Jerry Bridges), a reread for some of us, but an always needed reminder. I may reread The Great Gatsby, as well. Apparently, there’s a movie coming out and I can’t for the life of me remember if this is something I’d want to see again in movie form, much less watch with my family!

Enjoy the rest of your week!
