Today I felt like I was having a really good hair day. I felt like I should be in a hair commercial or something, flipping my hair from side to side, hair shining in the sun. Don’t you love it when that happens? It’s so rare, I had to take a few pictures. The camera hog couldn’t resist popping in a few with me. Speaking of the poor baby. When is my three year old going to grow real hair? She still has baby fine hair and barely any at all. I’m sad for her. She really wants long braids. That Rapunzel movie was hard on girls with thin, short hair. And then came Brave with that riot of curls. I’m thinking of cutting my hair and making her a wig.
Excitement is high around here right now. Here’s how things are going down: birthday, birthday, vacation. Who wouldn’t be excited with all that fun in a row? It may be hard to concentrate on school but we are trying our best. I want to get in those days before vacation.
I did something wild and crazy. I bought a used bike for myself. I wasn’t even sure I could still ride one. But I bought it and I loved it. Then it turned out all of the kids needed new/bigger bikes. We had two birthdays coming up so two of them got bike gifts and the other one couldn’t be left out so it’s like her birthday too. And that’s the story of how a $150 used bike ended up costing us $450. But we are really enjoying riding together. The only sad part is that the 3 year old is too small to ride with us.
I found a cool WordPress plugin called Simply Instagram that pulls your Instagram feed onto a page in your blog (or perhaps a widget, but I couldn’t get that to work.) So now when you click on the Instagram tab under the header, you’ll see all my Instagram photos. I’m thinking of making it my blog main page since it’s updated much more frequently than my blog. Just kidding. Sort of. Maybe not. Instagram is the new blog.
Just so this blog post will have a cohesive feel, let’s end with hair. When was the last time you had a good hair day and what was your secret?
