Hold on while I jump from subject to subject

good hair day

Today I felt like I was having a really good hair day. I felt like I should be in a hair commercial or something, flipping my hair from side to side, hair shining in the sun. Don’t you love it when that happens? It’s so rare, I had to take a few pictures. The camera hog couldn’t resist popping in a few with me. Speaking of the poor baby. When is my three year old going to grow real hair? She still has baby fine hair and barely any at all. I’m sad for her. She really wants long braids. That Rapunzel movie was hard on girls with thin, short hair. And then came Brave with that riot of curls. I’m thinking of cutting my hair and making her a wig.

Excitement is high around here right now. Here’s how things are going down: birthday, birthday, vacation. Who wouldn’t be excited with all that fun in a row? It may be hard to concentrate on school but we are trying our best. I want to get in those days before vacation.

new family fun activity.

I did something wild and crazy. I bought a used bike for myself. I wasn’t even sure I could still ride one. But I bought it and I loved it. Then it turned out all of the kids needed new/bigger bikes. We had two birthdays coming up so two of them got bike gifts and the other one couldn’t be left out so it’s like her birthday too. And that’s the story of how a $150 used bike ended up costing us $450. But we are really enjoying riding together. The only sad part is that the 3 year old is too small to ride with us.

I found a cool WordPress plugin called Simply Instagram that pulls your Instagram feed onto a page in your blog (or perhaps a widget, but I couldn’t get that to work.) So now when you click on the Instagram tab under the header, you’ll see all my Instagram photos. I’m thinking of making it my blog main page since it’s updated much more frequently than my blog. Just kidding. Sort of. Maybe not. Instagram is the new blog.

Just so this blog post will have a cohesive feel, let’s end with hair. When was the last time you had a good hair day and what was your secret?

Thanks for the Instagram widget tip! I found one for Blogger too! So fun!

I don’t think I have good hair days anymore. Too gray.

There is no rhyme or reason to a good hair day—when/if I have one. Sad. But you were having a good hair day. Even before I read the text I kept looking at your pics and thinking “Wow she has great hair.” Don’t you love good hair days?!

By the way, which instagram plug-in did you use on WordPress? I looked at the options but I still don’t understand all the lingo. Thanks!

Random posts. I love them! Good hair days? I love them, too. I’m more prone to…ice cream…er, where was I? Good hair days. Mine is usually better on the second day after being washed. But not always. There’s really no particular pattern. But when they do happen, I want to take pictures, too. Then I’m mad because it never looks as good in the picture as in reality. Stupid iPhone camera.

I love my bike, too, though I don’t ride it enough. I’m a pansy. But if I rode more than once, I might gain some endurance and be able to graduate from the pansy ride. Maybe one week I’ll ride twice. Nobody rides with me, though. I guess I should just listen to music or teachings on my iPhone since it can’t take good hair pictures for me.

My main blog is still on Blogger, so I guess I won’t be using that groovy WP plugin. I’m so old-school on my blog. Although I hate the new changes at Blogger which made it more like WP cause I don’t really like WP very much. I can’t control it as well as I can Blogger. And I don’t have the time to really mess with any of it, so I just am frustrated.

I love Instagram, but have decided I want to be a regular blogger again, so am trying to do that. I think I’ve squeezed out 9-10 posts recently. I’m rather proud of myself. I feel almost as good as a good hair day. Maybe better.

Love your hair, your bike, your riding, your instagramming, and your randomness. Hope you have another randomly good hair day soon. :-)

    Thanks!

Got it! But its showing every photo of everyone I follow on Instagram on my blog page. How did you get yours to only display *your* photos?

there’s a setting at the top, i think you have to choose users instead of media.
