I posted this shot this week on Instagram. My daughter practicing the letter B. I edited it with Afterglow, my current go-to editing app, but I wondered how it would look if I used some other editing apps.
Here are some I have regularly used or am currently trying out: Afterglow, Snapseed, VSCOcam, and Cameramatic. Here’s how they look side by side:
Cameramatic is a new-to-me app. I’ve only had it one week and don’t haven’t really got the hang of using it well yet. But I’m trying. When you import an image the first thing it does is crop it to a square. I don’t like all of my images square cropped, even if I am using them on Instagram so I don’t always choose this APP, though I like the style of it.
I used VSCOcam a lot a few months ago, but it fell by the wayside when I got Afterglow.
Same with Snapseed. I got it about the same time as VSCOcam and now Afterglow is my most often used APP for editing my iPhone photos.
