I love that there are so many bloggers posting their outfits lately. It sometimes makes me feel like a slug sitting here in my sweats and t-shirts, but I really do love that they link to where they got the stuff so I can find it and order it if I think I’ll love it. That’s what I did when I saw this sweater on this blog. I even wrapped it up for myself for Christmas.

But sometimes I see something I really want to try but just can’t make it work out. Like colored skinny pants. I’ve loved the way they’ve looked in pictures, but hate the way they look on me. While I was braving the crowds on New Years’ Day, shopping with friends, I made a hasty colored pants decision. I bought a black and brown pair of cords from Ann Taylor Loft.

I’ve been trying them on with different tops, walking around, feeling uncomfortable then changing back into my old faithful denim.

Will I ever make peace with the colored pants? Have you tried them?

    I have the same sweater and LOVE it. You can wear it with so many things. I have found with skinny, colored jeans to go a size up for comfort. Still look great.

    LOVE that sweater! I feel the same way about the colored pants. Although I don’t really think of my brown cords as colored pants. I think of them more like khakis, I guess.

    I can’t do colored jeans because they remind me of pants that my mother would have worn while was in Jr. High. It is odd, and I have given it way too much consideration since I saw them popping back on to the scene, but I just can’t.

    gorgeous sweater, you have great taste. colored pants- had to grow on me but I even just ordered polka dots. try dark gray or deep purple or emerald green! you can totally rock them! you just have to find the right ones. and at least have of my week days I am wearing sweats too.

    would you believe it’s been two weeks and i’m still struggling with the colored cords? i’m not a fashion risk taker. polka dots would do me in!
