I am just finishing up my second class with The Define School. This one was Light + Life with Kellie Hatcher. I’m a huge fan of her photography and seeing her images for four weeks has made me ready to move to Hawaii and do lifestyle family photos on the beach.
Light + Life is a course on finding light. Finding light is something photographers enjoy doing already, but if you are struggling in this area this or just need some new inspiration, this is a fabulous course. She refines your ability to find light and compose interesting images.
The courses I took this year with The Define School pushed me to work at my photography at a time when I normally wouldn’t be inspired to pick up the camera. Cold and rainy days aren’t very inspiring.
It also forced me to work on some new concepts that aren’t second nature to me yet like leading lines and the fibonacci spiral.
I also think it’s giving me the courage to begin moving in new direction with my photography. I love being excited about photography. I can’t wait to see where these new ideas take me.
