Birthday

happy birthday to me!!!!

I celebrated my 43rd birthday yesterday with church, lunch with family, and a surprise from my son. He was saved about a year ago and this morning, finally walked the aisle to be baptized. It was a teary morning. But they were happy tears.

birthday gifts: cake, wallet, hair brush coupons, and LARGE print bible!

I got a LARGE print bible which I desperately needed. When I’m wearing my contacts I can’t read tiny print. So in church I’ve just been pretending to follow along with the reading in my bible. Now I can really see it.

I also got several great coupons from my kids for free nail painting, hair brushing and milkshakes. My daughter made my beautiful birthday cake and she made me a little fabric pouch.

I really missed that hour of sleep Saturday night even though I LOVE daylight savings time, so I took a long, wonderful nap on a rainy afternoon.

Now I’m thinking I need a trip to the library. I’ve been without a good book for a few weeks now. Any recommendations?

my son made a profession of faith and is being baptized tonight. good birthday for me!

What a blessing. I saw a quote recently that said the ultimate goal of parenting is passing on our faith to our children—that when we get to heaven none of our accomplishments in this life will matter if our children aren’t there with us. Such a sweet, beautiful life you have. Thank you for taking the time to share it with others.

I’m guessing you’re nearsighted like me. I had to get multifocal contacts at 44 to still be able to see distances and read in my contacts. My distances aren’t as clear, but I can read, so it’s worth it. They are more expensive.
